Flowtron The Ultimate Mulcher 8 Amp Electric Leaf Shredder

4143B725F0L._SL500_AA280_.jpgHere is another shredder that works on leaves, making a mulch out of them. It has settings for pine needles and grass and reduces 11 bags of leaves into one bag which can then be spread on vegetable and flower beds to protect them against frost and keep them moist. This mulcher works only on leaves and it's a good idea to wear eye and ear protection while using it. You won't have to pile bags and bags of leaves for the city to take away with this machine to help you.

Orbit Brass Garden Hose Y Connector makes two faucets out of one

31vMFlAMOuL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
I use these simple brass Y connectors on all my garden faucets so that I can have both a timer to irrigate a large swath of the garden every other day, and the other goes to a hose I can place at a dry spots for extra watering. Both of the prongs have shut off valves that can be adjusted to give the amount of water you want. The Y connector is made to last. I've had mine for 10 years and they still work.

Tricam Gorilla Dumping Cart can also carry your harvest home

41WkNZogAIL._SL500_AA280_.jpgThey call this a dumping cart and it can be used readily to haul rocks, dirt, plants, compost in or out of the garden. But I see this design as an excellent way to carry your harvested vegetables out of the garden and into the kitchen. It has a nice, flat bottom and is so deep as to crush the squash or tomatoes. When you are getting ready to can or dry your harvest, you need a sturdy cart to bring it all in.

14-Inch Deluxe Hand Reel Mower works well in small yards

412Gk5qeMzL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
This hand push mower is perfect for small yards. You can avoid the fumes and noise of a gas powered mower and also avoid the hassle of batteries and electric cords. When I was a kid, I used this type of mower and I'm excited to see they still make them. It's a good workout and an environmentally friendly way to keep your lawn looking nice.
